READY, SET, GO!
But before you do, consider these important items...
Don't Forget To Ask
Are you ready to go shopping? Don't get overwhelmed get answers. It's easy to get excited about and inspired by the vast array of flooring choices and window treatments, but dont forget to ask the tough questions while working with the designer or sales associate. Here are some questions you should ask before making a commitment...
Costs & Charges
- Do you charge for an in-home estimate? If so, does it apply to the cost of the purchase? Does the price include installation? If not, what are the charges and procedures for installation? Can I install the merchandise myself or find my own installer?
Products
- What are the strengths of one product choice versus another? What are the guarantees and warranties on the product itself, on the sundries or materials that go with it, and on the installation? What features does this product have that makes it easy to maintain? How do I maintain it?
Decision Making
- Can I take a sample home to view in the room or see the product online in a scene? Can the designer or a representative bring a sample over to help me? Can I purchase a large sample size?
Installation
- What kind of padding or underlayment does this floor require? What do I have to do to my current floors before installation? How quickly will my flooring be installed after I place my order? How do I minimize the number and placement of seams in my room? Is this carpet available in a 15-foot length to ensure fewer seams?
Who is responsible for removing and disposing of old carpet and padding? Is there an additional fee for that? Who will move the furniture? Is there an additional fee for that?
- What type of brackets or rod accessories are best to use with this shade or blind? What type of screws or brackets come with this product? If I have this product installed professionally, will they have all the items needed for a complete install? Does it make a difference if the wall is block or drywall? How about the studs?
- Are the installers licensed and bonded for this type of installation?
